The process
1. Simply email us a description of any unused chemicals and materials you have. The initial description should at least include the chemical or material name and quantity. Ideally the description should be as detailed as possible including:
a. Chemical/material name and trade name/number and/or grade (if any)
b. Manufacturer
c. Quantity and packaging
d. Age and condition
e. Pick up location and ZIP code
f. Earliest date the chemical/material is available for pick up
A C of A (Certificate of Analysis) is always good but usually not needed if the material is in original, sealed packaging and is from a US or Canadian manufacturer.
Photos of the inventory are always good.
2. We will get back to you, usually within 24 hours, to let you know if there's interest or not.
3. If there's interest we may need more information from you. Sometimes a small sample is needed.
4. Once we determine exactly what is there we set a pick up date with you for prompt pick up.
5. Usually the carrier will call you the day before pickup to confirm pick up time.
Your responsibilities:
1. Please be sure to give an accurate description of your chemicals/materials. Weight is very important as it determines shipping costs. Please double check your inventory if you have any doubts.
2. Please be sure the person in charge of loading is aware of the pick up day and time and is prepared. Everything should be ready for prompt loading and any special loading instructions understood.
3. All chemicals/materials must be properly secured for shipping (i.e., bags secured to pallets, no rips or tears. drums sealed etc.) and prepared to ship according to DOT regulations.
4. All chemicals/materials you offer for transfer must be available at no cost.
5. Your agreement to transfer the chemicals/materials is directly with the receiving facility.
Receiving facilities
All receiving facilities agree to accept to accept full responsibility of all chemicals/materials upon pick up. Most receiving facilities are located in the US but some items ship overseas. You will receive contact and address information on the receiving facility before the chemicals/materials ship. Shipping is almost always provided by common carrier. All chemicals/materials ship out as a product, not a waste.
